Tasmania

Short (too short) trip down to Tassie just after New Years Eve – very spur of the moment -and my usual magic didn’t work with the accommodation as it was peak season.  Landed in Launceston, headed east to the coast and down to the most southern port – ‘Southport’ in 5 days.  On the way I visited my high school friend Marita and Dave on their beautiful property near Binnalong Bay, south of the Bay of Fires.  Bordered on 3 sides by National Park and the forth side the most stunning azure blue water and white sandy inlet – their little cottage and simple lifestyle is an eyeopener!! Their guest accommodation is a funky little old caravan at the bottom of the hill, but chose a night in the hammock under the stars with a few too many mozzies – a great experience all the same!
